There's a tradition of focusing on what we want to be "new" at this time of year. Carol found that, in her years on the traditional pulpit, people wanted their life to suddenly and miraculously be transformed when the calendar rolls over. Rev. Bill points to the way that harvest season has made way for winter, and that newness is inherent as we pass into another season.
